Hi All,

The other day a window cleaner signed up for Send out Cards and as we talked about how it can benefit his window cleaning business, he asked me if I would send over some card wording that I used within the greeting cards that I sent my customers. I told him I’d send it on over to him, but I also figured I’d post it to the blog.

To provide a little background first, I highly recommend that you stay in touch with your customers by sending greeting cards on occasion. Without fail, every batch of greeting cards I sent out resulted in extra jobs from either the customer themselves or as direct referrals from customers.

Anyway…here’s an example of the type of card I would send all my customers at the beginning of the summer:

Hi John and Nancy,

This is Steve Wright with Clearview Window Washing Service. This morning I was thinking about my window cleaning customers as I’m prone to do sometimes.  :o )  And your name came to mind. So I figured I’d send you this card to wish you and your family a very nice summer season.  Have a great day and we’ll see you soon!

Best Regards,

Steve

P.S. If you bump into any friends, family members, and/or neighbors who you think might enjoy a crystal clear view again, please pass on my information to them. Thanks much and enjoy your summer once again.

See how this works? It’s not pushy. And it is sincere. But yet in my “P.S.”, I gently prod them to pass my information on to anyone else they might know who might be in need of a good window cleaning. This wording was modified slightly in each card depending on the time of the  year that I sent it. The customer is not going to remember what you wrote in a card that you sent them 2 or 3 months ago, so the wording can be somewhat similar between the various cards that you send them.

I hope this helps. And if you’d like to get started using Send Out Cards to put your greeting card campaigns on auto pilot, give me a call and I’ll walk you through it. 256-546-2446.

In lieu of using Send out Cards, you can buy greeting cards in bulk locally and send ‘em out that way. However you do it, it’s a great way to generate more calls and jobs for your window cleaning business. Think other window cleaners are doing this? Nope. So it immediately makes you stand out from the crowd.

Take care and have a great day.

Steve
