Hi All,
This morning I received an email that I thought might benefit you. It was basically a question asking for some help with one of his web pages. I won’t reveal his website since I don’t have permission to do so, but the web page he was asking about contains exact pricing for “small”, “medium”, and “large” houses. So that sets the stage. Here’s the email:
Hey Steve,
I want to change the service section of my site to something different . i would still like to give ballpark prices but just want to make it different and improve on it some. Anyway just thought you might have an idea or two. im a bit stumped and just wanted a second head in it if possible.
thanks,
Dave

Hey All,
I was asked recently whether I did any door knocking for window cleaning prospects. I may have been asked this before and placed my answer on this blog, but if not, here are my thoughts on it again.
)
In my opinion, I really wouldn’t recommend knocking on doors looking for business. It’s not a matter of whether it works or not. It just flat out takes too long to do. You can spend all morning long and end up talking to 20 prospects? 40 prospects? Maybe a few more than that, but not much more for sure.

Hi Folks,
Just a blog post letting everyone know that you can download the new web templates here. Early this morning I completed the instructions on how to turn the web templates into a completed website, so everything is now ready to be downloaded. If you follow the step by step instructions that I’ve provided, you’ll have your website online in no time.
Within the instructions, I show you where to download 2 software products (one to work with the web pages and one to work with the graphics) that you need to use, but the good news is that both of them are free.

Hey Everyone,
Hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to make a quick post today to let you know that I’m adding 4 web site templates to my window washing package in the next few days, so if you purchased my window washing program, you’ll be able to download these web templates for free.
A web template is basically a premade design that you can edit to specifically fit your business and turn it into a complete website. You can buy web templates from all over the web ranging in price from $35 to $50 or more. But they’re not usually focused on window cleaning businesses.

Hey All,
I received an email recently from a window cleaner looking to possibly buy another window cleaner’s business. He asked some questions, so i thought you might benefit from then answers in case you are ever in the market for another window cleaning business.
Hi Steve,
May I please get your opinion/advice: I talked to another window cleaner over the weekend and he wants to sell his business because he is moving in a little over a month. He claims to have 135 residential customers and a handful of commercial customers. It is not a franchise. He is asking $7000 but says he is flexible on the price and it is important to him to find someone who is trustworthy. I trust what he has told me so far, but I am just not sure what price is fair and if it might be best to give him some money down and the rest as a % of what I actually make from his customers. Can you please give me all the thoughts you have about this?
Thank you,
David

Hi All,
I received an email recently from a window cleaner looking for advice on what to send to a property manager in order to get the relationship going. I thought you might benefit from it:
Hi Steve.
I’ve spent the last few days calling property managers to get on their vendors lists’ and have had several ask me to send over my “info”. I was hoping you could offer your input on what kind of package to send them. Your thoughts are always appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Bret

Hi All,
The other day a window cleaner signed up for Send out Cards and as we talked about how it can benefit his window cleaning business, he asked me if I would send over some card wording that I used within the greeting cards that I sent my customers. I told him I’d send it on over to him, but I also figured I’d post it to the blog.

Hi All,
Good morning. I’m back with you today to talk about the process of getting a website online for your window cleaning business.
We started this series of articles by first discussing domain names: how/where to buy it, how to save money (use a coupon code) when buying it, etc. That blog post is here if you haven’t read that yet.
Next we talked about editing the DNS information at your registrar (the place where you purchased your domain name from).
Today we’ll talk about the actual website itself as far as creating one. There are a number of ways to create websites all the way from free methods to paying for expensive web designers.
